Labtrum is an iPhone app for managing research lab operations. Version 1.0 focuses on animal colony management, including animals, cages, racks, breeding records, and IACUC protocol tracking.
Labtrum is designed for life-science research teams of two to ten members, including principal investigators, lab managers, and research staff working with animal colonies.
Yes. Labtrum uses Sign In with Apple as its only authentication method. You will need an Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled.
Yes. All your Labtrum data is stored in your own iCloud account through Apple CloudKit. We do not operate servers and cannot access your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can invite up to 1, 4, or 9 additional members to your lab depending on your subscription tier (Core, Advanced, or Research). Invitations are delivered through Apple’s CloudKit Sharing system, typically by iMessage or a share URL.
All features are available on every tier. Subscriptions only affect the number of collaborators.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, go to iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Labtrum → Cancel Subscription.
To delete all your Labtrum data:
This removes all your lab data from iCloud. You may also fully revoke Labtrum’s access via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Apps Using Apple ID → Labtrum.
